Upon your arrival at the airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel by taxi. Check-in time at the hotel is typically around 3:00 PM.

After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour of Tokyo. Your pickup will be from the Marunouchi South Exit of Tokyo Station at the Hato Bus Boarding Area.

Your first stop is the Imperial Palace, once the Edo Castle in the early modern era and now the stunning Imperial Palace. Learn about Tokyo’s history and its transformation from Edo to the vibrant metropolis it is today.

Next, we’ll head towards the iconic Tokyo Tower. Along the way, take in the impressive National Diet Building, the heart of Japan’s government. Don’t be fooled by its Western-style appearance—this landmark is constructed almost entirely from traditional Japanese materials.

Upon reaching Tokyo Tower, you'll go up to the Main Deck at 150 meters above the ground for breathtaking views of the city. The tower is truly a symbol of Tokyo.

Next, we’ll visit Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most famous temple. Admire the striking red Kaminarimon Gate, the statue of the god of thunder, and the five-story pagoda. Afterward, take a stroll down Nakamise Shopping Street, a bustling 250-meter stretch lined with vibrant shops selling traditional goods.

As the tour continues, we’ll pass by the Kabukiza Theater, where you can catch a glimpse of the world-renowned Kabuki performances, and head toward the upscale district of Ginza.

The tour will conclude near Tokyo Station's Marunouchi South Entrance. From there, you’ll make your way back to the hotel at your own pace, wrapping up another unforgettable experience on your Japan travels.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then make your way to the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Main Tower, where you’ll be picked up from the JTB Sunrise Office

The first stop on your Japan travels is Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station. The bus will ascend the Subaru Line, taking you up to an altitude of 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. From this height, you’ll be treated to breathtaking, panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and, on clear days, the stunning Mt. Fuji towering over the landscape.

Next, we’ll head to Lake Ashi in Hakone for a relaxing cruise. Hop aboard a cruise ship and take in the serene beauty of the lake while admiring the majestic Mt. Fuji in the distance. (Please note that if the Lake Ashi cruise is unavailable due to weather or other conditions, an alternative destination may be included in the itinerary.)

Afterward, enjoy a scenic ropeway ride to the Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya, an ancient shrine perched on a mountaintop. The views of Lake Ashi and the Hakone National Park below are nothing short of spectacular. (As with the cruise, if the Komagatake Ropeway is not operating due to weather or other factors, an alternative will be arranged.)

The tour will continue with a trip to Odawara Station, where you’ll board the Shinkansen for a speedy and comfortable journey to Kyoto Station, marking the next exciting chapter of your Japan travels.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, head to the Sunrise Tours Desk in Kyoto Avanti, located on the B1F across from Kyoto Station’s Hachijo Exit, where your day of exploration begins.

Your first stop on your Japan travels is Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, this castle is known for its beautiful, intricate carvings and the stunning Ninomaru Palace. (Please note that the tour does not include the Honmaru Palace or the Painting Gallery.)

Next, we’ll visit Kinkakuji Temple, also a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Golden Pavilion, with its gleaming layers of pure gold, stands gracefully by a tranquil pond, creating one of Kyoto's most iconic and breathtaking views.

Later, we’ll proceed to the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which served as the residence of Japan's emperors until about 150 years ago. If the palace is closed to visitors on the day of your tour, you’ll visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. This shrine, dedicated to the god of learning, is renowned for its beautiful architecture and the national treasure that is its main hall.

Next, we travel to Nara to visit the famous Kasuga Taisha Shrine, located within Nara Park. The park is home to the friendly deer that are believed to be the messengers of the shrine. Your tour also includes a visit to Todaiji Temple, a World Heritage site, where you’ll get the chance to explore its awe-inspiring Great Buddha Hall. Starting in 2025, a new special visit area will allow guests to get a closer look at the Main Sanctuary and its mesmerizing hanging lanterns.

The tour concludes in front of Kyoto Avanti, across from Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit. From there, you can make your way back to your hotel at your leisure, bringing an unforgettable day of Japan travels to a close.
