Welcome to Bhutan, the Land of Thunder Dragon. Arrive directly at Paro Airport at (2,280Mts). After completing immigration formalities, baggage collection and you will be met with our representative, drive to Thimphu afterwards.

After breakfast, visit Buddha Dordenma at the top of a hill in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park, home to the largest sitting Buddha statue (51.5m) in Bhutan. Next, head to the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s unique national animal, the Takin, a must-visit on any Bhutan trip. Continue to the Sangaygang viewpoint, offering stunning views of the Thimphu valley. Drive past the King’s Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of Bhutan’s Third King, fondly known as the Father of Modern Bhutan.

After lunch, visit Trashichhoe Dzong, the seat of government and religion, housing the throne room of the monarch and the office of the Chief Abbot (Je Khenpo). Built in 1641, this impressive fortress is an essential highlight of your Bhutan trip.

In the evening, stroll through Thimphu’s city center, exploring the local market and arts bazaar. After a delicious buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Punakha. En route, make a stop at Dochula Pass, where you can admire the stunning chorten, mani wall, and vibrant prayer flags that decorate the highest point on the road—a perfect highlight for your Bhutan trip.

After a satisfying lunch, visit the impressive Punakha Dzong, one of the largest and most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan. Situated at the confluence of the Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River), this architectural gem is a must-visit destination for any Bhutan trip.

Next, experience the breathtaking Punakha Suspension Bridge, offering awe-inspiring mountain views and adorned with colorful prayer flags. Walking across a bridge spanning over 160 meters above the Po Chhu River is an exhilarating adventure that perfectly complements your Bhutan trip.

After savouring a sumptuous breakfast, move out and drive to Paro along the dramatic routes of the Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys. It will be a scenic journey through Paro town and towards the very end of the valley.

After lunch, visit Ta Dzong, originally built as a watchtower but now has been converted into the National Museum. Its extensive collections of antique Thangkha paintings, traditional textiles, weapons and armor, household objects, and a frankly wonderful assemblage of natural and historic artifacts make it quite a must-see during your visit to Bhutan.

In the evening, check in to your own hotel in Paro.

After a good breakfast, have an outing for the local sightseeing of Paro. Drukgyel Dzong is a recently restored fortress of Bhutanese warriors who bravely fought for their land against Tibetan invaders centuries ago. Almost all her glory of the sacred Chomolhari, "Mountain of Goddess," can be seen from the road leading to the Dzong.

On the way, visit the Kyichu Lhakhang of the 7th century, one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. This temple brings about the history of the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan and its already huge historical significance.

Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which means "Fortress of the Heap of Jewels." The visit is characterful for history buffs because of the rich history and wonderful wall paintings pertaining to Buddhist lore such as the wheel of life, scenes taken from the life of Milarepa, and cosmic Mandalas.

For the more adventurous types, we have an Excursion to Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest Trek). The monastery is located on the edge of a cliff 900 meters above the floor of the Paro valley. According to popular legends, Guru Rinpoche meditated at this site after reaching there on the back of a tigress. So this is one of the most spiritually important places in the Engineer a memorable experience on your trip to Bhutan.
