Next, explore the St. Catholic Cathedral and the Don Bosco Ethnological Museum, which offers insights into the diverse ethnic cultures of the northeastern states of India. After the sightseeing, check in at your hotel. In the evening, you may take a stroll around the lively “Police Bazaar,” Shillong's vibrant hotspot for shopping and dining. Continuing your Assam and Meghalaya tour, in Sohra, explore the stunning Arwah Caves, NohKaLikai Falls, and Mawsmai Caves. Upon arrival, take a walking tour of this picturesque village, which is a testament to cleanliness and community spirit. During your visit, explore the Single Decker Living Root Bridge, nestled deep in the jungle, and admire the locally crafted bamboo watchtower that offers a stunning 360-degree view of the surrounding area. Next, we will head to Dawki, the international border between India and Bangladesh, where you can visit the crystal-clear Umngot River. You can also opt for a boat ride on the river (on a direct payment basis). Afterwards, visit the Indo-Bangladesh Friendship Border (Tamabil) before driving back to Shillong. After breakfast, drive to the Grand Canyons of Laitlum, a mesmerizing destination that will leave you in awe.
